The widows in the last two pictures are part of the Akola Bead project. They cut, roll, varnish, and string the necklaces. I am headed out to Gulu in the North tomorrow but will get to spend more time with the widows next week!
This is one of the wonderful women we are working with in Buwala, the small village outside of Jinja Town. Over the next few months I hope to spend time with these women, getting to know them and their struggles.
